Red Mini Glider 12"

List Price 109.99 The 2011 model Designed for the youngest learners, from age 2 to 5 years, the Mini Glider™ balance bike is designed for safe, learning fun.The seat can lower to 11" and the handle bars adjust to accommodate the very youngest kids. Glide Bikes learning bikes also incorporates a unique patented foot peg system to allow kids to have a place to rest their feet while gliding. These pegs can be locked into place with one simple to use, tool-free pin allowing the foot pegs to be installed or removed in seconds. This Feature helps some of our smallest riders and special needs kids to focus on gliding and balancing. As your child develops balance and begins gliding, they can place their feet on the foot pegs and get accustomed to the natural foot position present on a traditional bicycle. If there is not a place to put feet its uncomfortable for kids to dangle their feet and they won't be able to ride for as long. It also helps save their shoes from getting scraped up. We are proud to be the only pedal less balance bike with this feature. My wife Lisa'a idea. for More Photos CLick here

Head & Seat Angle Design
Designed with our patented geometry*, it allows the slowest and safest balancing speed (1.5 MPH) of all balance bikes on the market. The geometry positions the front wheel out in front of the handlebar, making the bike easier to steer and, more importantly, making it nearly impossible for the rider to go over the handlebars. The rider's weight is centered over the rear wheel, making the child's center of gravity lower, for more stability.

No Pedals. No training wheels
Pedals and training wheels hinder the learning process of riding a bike, because children can't focus on the first important step -- how to balance. Instead, they are trying to pedal, brake and balance, all at once. Training wheels prevent the bike from leaning, so kids never experience the feeling of balancing themselves, because the training wheels are doing it for them! The average time a child spends riding with training wheels is two to three years. With Glide Bikes™, kids learn to balance first, with no pedals or training wheels to get in the way. Some children are riding a bike within a day, a week or month. Even after they've learned to ride a pedal bike, they keep coming back to their Glide Bike™, because gliding is the new, fun way to ride! Read what Glide Bikes™ parents have to say! Foot pegs
Unique patented foot pegs give riders a fun way to glide and help train children where to put their feet on a pedal bike. Just try riding a bike without your feet on the pedals(painful)

New for 2011 Now the pegs can be removed for new learners.
Pegs in use

Lightweight and strong
Glide Bikes™ are constructed of rustproof 6061 Aluminum Alloy, lightweight yet durable and designed to last for years. Since there's nothing to rust, no need to worry if it's left out in the rain!

Handlebar Steering Limit
Extensive product testing shows that the steering limit feature safely prevents the rider from being hit in the chest or head by the handlebars. This feature also prevents the brake cable from becoming twisted. The steering limit does not prevent a full turning radius nor does it hinder a child from graduating to a traditional bicycle.

Easy to Use, Child-sized Hand Brake
Gives the rider control and prevents him from dragging his feet (no more worn shoes!)
